Walking enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the ranges behind the property, taking in the expansive views up the Stewarts River towards Hannan Vale and north to Middle Brother National Park. Because eating well and healthily will probably be one of your preoccupations at Penlan Cottage, the cottage's owners, Peter Wildblood and Sherry Stumm supply you with fresh farm provisions for the pantry. There's freshly baked bread and home-made jams, as well as things to cook up in the kitchen, like fresh farm eggs. Of an evening, enjoy a barbeque meal and linger around the outdoor table watching the sun set over the mountains. If you would prefer you can join Peter and Sherry at their property Benbellen Country Retreat for a full evening meal at just $35 a head. When the weather's hot, take a beach picnic to nearby Crowdy Bay National Park and watch the kangaroos munch away as you take in cliff top views that stretch down the coast nearly 100km. And when you've relaxed, unwound and got all your work stress out of the way, there's even washing and drying facilities at Penlan Cottage so you don't have to return home with dirty washing.
