The school is prominently located in the "village square" opposite the General Store at the corner of Hannam Vale Road and Deep Creek Road. For information contact the School Secretary - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 3pm on 6556 7636.Parents & Citizens Association - meets every third Tuesday of the month at the General Store at 9:30 am. Church Services are each Sunday at 9:30 am. There is a service also at the Community Hall, Moorland every second Sunday at 6:00 pm. Mass is held on the second Saturday each month at 8:30 am and a Communion service is held on the fourth Saturday each month at 10:00 am. Hannam Vale Community OrganisationsCommunity Hall Association - Operates the Community Hall located on Hannam Vale Road just beyond the School and General Store towards Waitui Village - For bookings for community and/or private functions, phone General Store at 6556 7600.Recreation Reserve Trust - located 100 metres short of the Fire Station on Hannam Vale Road just before the School and the General Store, the reserve facilities are gradually being upgraded by the Trustees. Hannam Vale Progress Association - Concerned with the general welfare of the community, the Association meets several; times a year in the Community Hall by notice in the General Store and in the Association newsletter. Hannam Vale Landcare Group - This is a community and government cooperative exercise in which local people can assist in the care of the local environment in such matters as clearing weeds, repairing stream banks after erosion, fencing streams so as to prevent encroachment of stock. Hannam Vale Emergency ServicesRural Fire Service - Fire Station on Hannam Vale Road just before and adjacent to the Hannam Vale School. Meetings are held on the second Monday each month at 6pm Eastern Summer Time and 7pm Eastern Standard Time.Fire Season Restrictions: No open fires are permitted during the Fire Season are permitted without a permit from the Greater Taree City Council 6592 5283. The Fire Season is normally 1 October to 31 March with special extensions or other limitations on fires to be seen on the Notice Board outside the Fire Station. Police Stations - Laurieton (101 Bold Street - 6559 9044) and Taree (83 Albert Street Tarree 6552 0399) General Hannam Vale Community ServicesCommunity Library - a local extension of the Greater Taree City Council Library Service is available at the Primary School Residence in Hannam Vale on Tuesdays from 2-3pm and on Saturdays from 9:30-11am.Regular [Household] Refuse Service - This service is provided early each Monday mornings by J R Richards Pty Ltd on behalf of Greater Taree City Council by placing the green bin provided by the Council on the kerbside. Every second week a yellow topped bin is also collected for the disposal of "recyclables": paper, glass, plastic etc. Bulk Refuse Collection - There is a regular collection of bulky waste by Greater Taree City Council with green waste collected in February and August each year, white goods and metal is collected in May and "bulk waste" collected each November. A notice is issued by the Council in January each year with the dates each collection is due to begin. Special Refuse Collections - To arrange special individual collections and further information contact Greater Taree City Council on 6592 5278. Nearest Post Offices: are located at Main Road Moorland - 6556 5102, Coopernook 25 Macquarie Street - 6556 3202 and Seymour Street Laurieton - 6559 9099 Hannam Vale Services - TransportCommunity Bus - A community bus service leaves Waitui Village at 9:30 every second pension week for Taree for "shopping and town visit" purposes. Every third such Thursday (normally the forth week each month) the bus goes to Port Macquarie rather than Taree. The return buses leave at 2pm from the drop off points in Taree or Port Macquarie. Contact 6553 5860 for bookings.School Bus - A school bus leaves Waitui (Old Mill) Village for Taree at 7:40 am Monday to Friday returning to Waitui at 4:50pm approximately. The bus picks up and drops off "on demand" on the journey to Taree. Further information is available from Eggins Comfort Coaches on 6552 2700 How to Get to Hannam Vale - Air to Port Macquarie is best though there is a service from Sydney to Taree (occasionally). Rail to Taree or Kendall from Sydney or Casino/Brisbane. Bus lines (Greyhound) have regular overnight services through the Pacific Highway and will generally drop off by advanced notice - regular terminal in Victoria Street Taree Hannam Vale Services - SportingTennis Court - Deep Creek Road just past the Salvation Army Hall.
