Sherry Stumm and Peter Wildblood invite you to visit their beautiful property in Hannam Vale on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. The 55 acre (22 hectare) farm property runs into the hills of the Cooranbakh National Park and is reminiscent of old English farmlands with lily-strewn ponds, rolling green meadows and home paddocks devoted to the alpaca population with Holstein Friesian heifers doted about the higher reaches. Alpacas are inquisitiveness and playfulness animals and if you visiting at the time when new cria (baby alpaca) are being born it a truly wonderful experience. Beginning with a small number of alpacas in 1998, the alpaca herd at Benbellen Alpaca Farm has now grown to be productive and the fleece is used for a range of high quality, hand crafted alpaca products. The products are 100% natural & organic, choose from Alpaca Sweaters, Scarves, Shawls, Beanies and Alpaca Duvets for warm, lightweight bedding. You can view and purchase the handmade alpaca products by appointment and visitors are welcome by arrangement to help feed the alpacas and other farm animals at 4pm. If that isn't enough you can stay a night or two in either luxury hosted accommodation at the Benbellen Country Retreat homestead or the self catering accommodations of Cherry Tree Cottage or Penlan Cottage Accommodation down the road. You will find a warm welcome and true country hospitality, hearty meals (breakfast is included in tarrifs) and a revitalising, quiet environment. |
