Marg's Pecans and Home Cooking is one of the many talented home-based businesses around the Hannam Vale valley selling their wholesome produce at the Kendall Showground Markets on the first Sunday of every month.

Marg Rasmussen and partner Ib grow pecan nuts on their Hannam Vale Road property and make all sorts of hearty, home-style treats with the nuts and other products from their farm.

Some of the traditional and exotic produce you'll find on their stall include;
  • Superior rich fruitcake with pecans
  • Rich fruit cake (without nuts)
  • Thin biscuit-like pecan bread
  • Pecan pies in small, medium and large
  • Pecan loaf and other cakes including banana cake, mud cake, orange cake, apple cake, carrot cake, coffee cake and date roll.
  • Pumpkin scones, apple and banana short cakes
  • Lemon and lemon/lime tarts
  • A variety of slices in butterscotch, apricot, choc caramel, orange date and others.
  • Pecan nuts plain, roasted, glazed, curry, chilli and choc coated.
The village of Kendall and its showground markets are definitely worth a visit while touring the Hannam Vale area. Another business, just near Kendall railways crossing, is Crafty Shoes and Havenscent Body Products.

Crafty Shoes is the home of handcrafted leather shoes, sandals and bags, either in standard sizes or made to measure. Havenscent sells hand-made soaps, moisturisers, essential oils, shampoos and other body pampering products.
