Hannam Vale Country Store and Café is the social hub of the Hannam Vale valley and the place to buy groceries, home-style food, coffee, cakes, cool drinks and wine, beer and other liquor. Call in for a café-style meal seven days a week and savour the ambience of the old store building, constructed in 1914. There's plenty of seating in the shade so you can take your time with a tea or coffee or even a cool beer. Have a chat to the locals and see what's going on around the place. Owners Susan and Ashley Mison are always welcoming and are full of useful information, so you can ask questions on anything you like about the local community - real estate prices, community events, history of the area, national parks, farms open to visitors and where to stay for the night. If they don't know the answer they'll certainly find out for you. Ashley's choice of home-made cakes and real coffee are sure to please even the fussiest tastes. There are also plenty of favourites for the kids like fish, chips and salad, nuggets and home-style pies. The Hannam Vale Country Store & Café is also decked out with old relics from the area, like lamps and farm equipment, so there's plenty to keep you interested as you slip into Hannam Vale time. There's also a small selection of local art and crafts. |
